The “Stimulus†One Year Later: 2.8 Million Jobs Lost
One year ago today President Obama signed the so-called $787 billion stimulus package. It was an act Speaker Pelosi proclaimed as “a hallmark achievement of this Congress.â€Â Now, as the President and those who have supported the stimulus bill celebrate their hallmark and contemplate a 3rd stimulus under the guise of a “jobs bill,†an additional 2.8 million Americans are unemployed. That’s more than 5 times the population of Oklahoma City.
The Democrats’ so-called stimulus bill was passed with the promise that it would create 3.5 million jobs by December 2010. The reality? Millions of jobs lost, staggering deficits, an explosion of the national debt, and continuing signs of a struggling economy. In that same time frame, over 1 million additional Americans have all but given up hope of finding a job and are no longer even seeking employment.
The stimulus has created tens of thousands of additional government positions,  but trading dozens of private sector jobs for one government job is not a road to recovery. It is a road to further ruin.
Are you as fed up with these reckless policies as I am? Are you tired of promises and political pandering?
Growing debts and deficits, greater intervention by the federal government, and reductions in individual liberty are not the answer. They are the problem.

How about not getting side tracked? The real problem appears to be from those hidden from public view that have their own agenda. IT IS THE CORRUPTION IN OUR GOVERNMENT THAT MUST BE REMOVED! IT SEEMS THAT ALL THAT HAPPENS IN AMERICA IS THAT EVERY 4 YEARS A NEW SPOKESPERSON IS ELECTED TO HOLD THE POSITION OF PRESIDENT!
The Constitution of the United Staes has been all but abandoned by Conress, the executive nad the judicial branches of government.

The only way we are going to be able to help our Country is to get rid of all the greedy self serving democrats holding office right now. I for one am going to the polls in November and doing my part in removing Polosi, Boxer, Reid, Franks etc. out of office. I would like Obama to leave also! Too bad we can’t get rid of him at the same time. If we don’t stand up for ourselves, there is no hope for us and our generations to come! We have a good Country and we need to keep it. Not let them do us under.

Do the right thing. in my opinion as an American this is what i want. “Don’t ask what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country” That being said. Stop the give aways PERIOD!!!!!!!!!! Limit the amount of time people can have government help PERIOD. If your new to this country earn it like our founding and fore3 fathers did. Don’t give them a thing PERIOD. Get out of the middle east and start taking care of our own. If they need our help we will help if we can afford it. Close our borders PERIOD. this is not 1776 anymore. Put God back in charge PERIOD. If you don’t like it get out of this country we will be happy to see you go. Its not that we are shoving God down your throat but this country was founded on Christianity and you can worship who you want or not worship at all. Thats between you and your God and more power to you for it. But stop trying to take mine away. I’m white and I cant get help because of my color although its not blatantly said if you listen to the conversation with mortgage companies its clear. I’m a citizen and a vet and nobody wants to help me through this trying time but we know that the dead beats and aliens are getting handouts. I could use help and create jobs with it but I’m the wrong color or nationality!!! Health insurance is a ripoff today and everyone knows it. so whats the health care problem? Get rid of lobbyist let insurance companies go across state lines to make it more competitive and that will lower prices and make it more affordable. Balance your damn checkbook and stop handouts. Tell me how anyone can come to this country from another and get money and then bring their elderly parents and family members and get them social security. Stop politics and lobbyist. get with Romney and let him help. He is the best business mind in America. Use HIM. If the idiots there wont maybe you should. Run extensive background checks on all muslims off of the belief they must prove they have no ties to terrorism since its their nationality that brought it to us. Build our Military so advanced and strong that no one would bother us. Stop overseas importing and exporting or put such a high tariff on them they will stop. we have everything we need right here in the Good Ole USA. All we need is God. Our State of Oklahoma would be in a lot worse shape than it is now if it weren’t for the stimulus. At least the ODOT had jobs and as I travel the State in my job many rural towns and counties have benefited as well. Now Tulsa is benefiting is well.

Well I’m no economist, but cutting taxes always seems like a good start. The more
EVERYBODYS taxes are cut, the more money is spent on products and services, the
more jobs are created, the more money is spent on products and services, the more
jobs are created…are we seeing a profit pattern yet?
Offering incentives to manufacturing businesses TO MOVE THEIR MANUFACTURING
FACILITIES / JOBS BACK TO THE U.S. seems logical. I don’t know how it can be done,
but the USA needs to get back the well paid , highly skilled workers we ONCE had. But
here’s the problem. It needs to be done without Big Labor Unions getting their greedy little
hands all over it. For once, Congress needs to “break the knees” of the Big Union thugs!
Why is it that Japanese auto makers can set up shop here in the US, pay their workers less
( but still very well ) and still turn out better products than the more highly paid US auto makers???
I could be wrong, but I think the Japaneses auto makers in the US are NON-union jobs.
I certainly don’t have all the answers. But that’s what we send you guys to the nations armpit for.

Where did you get such numbers? The Republican party HQ? This just isn’t accurate and seems a little stupid to project, since Oklahoma has about 2,000 + jobs as a direct result of the stimulus bill, even though our state voted exclusively for the losing party. That seems evidence enough. Anything else is pure bunk, unless you get money from the Oil and Gas groups…Oh, I forget, they promote your campaign! So much for not being sold out to big businesses like Devon Energy and OG&E…Sigh, I thought you had potential….
It seens under Obama’s stimuus plan everyone got money except for the retired souls on social security and we were not deemed worthy enough to receive any kind of raise or stimulas plan..funny seems that would go right along with Obama’s medical plan…I guess we really are expendible as far as Obama and the Democrats are concerned.

If the president set out to destroy America he should have gone about it much slower. His anxious methods remind me of a quick-hit 7-11 robber. Grab the cash and run. And, this only shows what a neophite he is to national politics and warfare. The stimulus is blatant robbery of the treasury to fund his cronies and himself but it is so obvious that the Democrats are going crazy trying to explain it. Nothing about this President is anything but sheer audacity. His wife has how many servants uh….assistants. I’m waiting for the chrome wheels on Air Force One.Check out TALON: Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Somebody wants a separate country and it does look good on the map. Since I live in Oklahoma I should have instant citizenship. I hear they are planning on a real resurrection of the Constitution and I would like to know more. Has anyone heard of this?
What really cracks me up is the Liberal explanations for Obama’s policys and attempts to take over the nation. In all cases their voices are filled with patent responses and you can tell they don’t believe it themselves. When I was in college (1954) we used to play games with the “commie” girls cause they were kind of cute and obviously duped by our weird professors. To me and my buddies it was just a funnjy game. We were just returned from Korea and killing “gooks” made more sense. Looking back, none of it made any sense.. I couldn’t tell you today why we were fighting in Korea and, by the same token, the “commie” girls made no sense at all. It is scary to know that today those same misbegotten girls are trying to turn America into North Korea. Had I foreseen the future I would have set up some “cool aid” stands on the campus. Well, no fear, we are Americans and when our back is against the wall……..BEWARE!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class.
That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
